Forma is a two-person creative studio. We're small on purpose โ because great design requires the kind of attention that can't be scaled.
Maya Torres and Elliot Park met at a 200-person agency in Manhattan where neither of them was allowed to do their best work. Too many committees. Too many compromises. Too much distance between the people making decisions and the work itself.
In 2020 โ admittedly an interesting time to start a studio โ they went independent. The bet was simple: if you do fewer projects and care more about each one, you'll do better work.
Four years later, the bet is paying off. We work with a deliberately small number of clients, every project gets both of us, and we've never once wished we scaled up faster.
Every project is handled by Maya and Elliot directly. We don't hand off to junior staff. You always know exactly who's doing what.
Every project starts with a discovery phase โ understanding your business, your audience, what makes you different, and what you're trying to achieve. We can't design something meaningful without this foundation.
A beautiful logo that confuses your audience is a failure. A clear message delivered with no visual distinction is forgettable. We refuse to separate these things โ every decision has a reason, and every reason has a visual expression.
We don't give you three logos to pick from. We give you one โ the right one, explained thoroughly. You'll understand why it's right before you have to decide if you agree. Iterations happen from there.
Our projects have a defined scope, but we've never left a client with work we're not proud of. If something needs more to be genuinely great, we do more. That's just the standard we hold ourselves to.
